FREQUENCY OF CLEANING
This depends on the type of fuel burned but as a general guide :-
Seasoned wood - Every three months (when in use)
Smokeless fuel - Once a year
Domestic Bituminous Coal - Every six months (when in use)
Green/Wet/Unseasoned Wood - should not be burned as it will lead to tar and creosote build-up which in turn will lead to a chimney fire, blockage or the corrosion of steel flues.
